Fairview is a growing community with a population of nearly 10,000. It’s in the heart of Collin County and is bordered by McKinney, the county seat, on the north side. Allen and Lucas are on the west, south and east. In 1958, when Fairview was established, the population was 50, but over the decades buyers looking for large homes on large lots, acreage for recreational use, horse farms, and expansive green space have been drawn to Fairview. The public schools are served by Lovejoy School District, which is an A+ rated school district according to Niche.
Fairview also offers plenty of options for restaurants and shopping. The Village at Fairview, located on the northeast corner of I-75 and Stacy Rd. is a large outdoor shopping and mixed use area anchored by department stores, a Whole Foods and many restaurants, cafes, shops, salons and office space throughout the outdoor mall. If green space is what you are looking for, but still want the conveniences of a major city, then Fairview is worth checking out!
